About 46 percent of adults age 18 to 64 with incomes at or below 138 percent of the federal poverty level (FPL) have an uninsured family member.
In comparison, only 6 percent of adults with incomes at or above 400 percent of FPL have an uninsured family member.
Over 25 percent of all nonelderly adults in the South and West have an uninsured family member, a significantly higher percentage than in other regions.
